Fragments, under the weight of embellishments
Trish Troy
Drawing inspiration from the concept of the recent ICP exhibition, 'But still, it Turns', that "there is no story is the story", I have created a collection of images that contain fragments of a reality at a given time. Fragments, that when brought together, give a glimpse into a "tangled life". An ode over a brief span of time with strands of strength, isolation, loss, wonder, despair and freedom. A reflection on the nature of nature, our inability as humans to survive without it, examining the belief that human society owns and "takes charge" of nature. But nature whispers out to us, that the opposite is in fact true, we are owned by the world.
This project was shot on Hasselblad 503cw, film used T-Max 400.
