in the garden I met a nymph – and then the water rippled

When making work, I role play as a seer. The resulting work being an abstraction of automatic writing. For me, clarity is unimportant as my aim is always documentation. This process enables works that lounge comfortably in their nuances, confusion and contradictions.
For this project, terms like "Desire", "Rest and Relaxation" and "Bliss" are used to colour my ruminations on alienation and powerlessness. I then channel these musings through personifications of inanimate object. The process is started by making something, then writing a story to frame the work, which spurs on the creation of something new, and so on and so forth, resulting in a continuous unfurling of works and writings.
