‘Friendly to the World’ was inspired by sacred geometry patterns and crop circles. The goal was to use sustainable, slow producing processes to create contemporary high-quality products made with love and environmental awareness. The main aim was to recreate harmonious senses such as touch (tactility of natural yarns, healing touch of wire, anti-dust properties of paper yarns), a visually pleasing sense of beauty, colour and textures, and even a smell of natural undyed raw yarns. I designed some of my fabrics to be used as draping shaped in 3D (it has a wire woven in) for the sound isolation. To create the fabrics, I used rare combinations of fibres such as mohair and wire, paper, wool and metal. The colour scheme was selected to be naturally subtle, earthy and grounding. Undyed wool, linen, silk and copper were bounded with rusty straw and solid black colours.
Friendly to the World is a slow lifestyle collection fully handmade using crochet, knit and weaving techniques. The majority of the products can be used for window treatments or applied as space dividers and much more. They are designed to make our life happier.
