Void – The Change Lab

Grainne McInerney

Educators have the responsibility of imparting their subject knowledge to students to expand their way of knowing beyond the classroom walls by approaching education as a lived curriculum. Art educators can use the art and design curriculum to teach their students to look critically at the world and question inherent beliefs. On leaving the PME programme as an artist/ designer/ educator/ researcher with new knowledge and skill sets; it is imperative to provide an education for students that not only recognises their perspectives as important but also see it as a collaborative endeavour in which they inform future educational directions.
