Human interaction is the major theme explored in this body of work. It is also a theme which strongly influences my teaching practice. Having the opportunity to be part of the Change Lab exhibition in NCAD, demonstrated the importance of adopting a dual artist/ educator identity. It has further inspired me to explore ways in which sustainable development and pedagogical approaches can be applied in the classroom.
Creating an environment where experiential and discovery learning can take place, there are endless possibilities as to how one can create awareness around the issues humans face nationally and globally. Through critical thinking, discussion and engagement; I hope to instil a sense of curiosity within students as well provide them with the necessary skills to challenge their perspectives on complex issues.
