Informed by architectural politics and the social use of public space, this body of work ambiguously analyses feelings. It playfully exercises affect while being sensitive to context. Holding onto an infatuation with movement, the duality of inside and outside constantly oscillates throughout the work; it seeks to delicately disrupt and question expectations.
'Overground/Undersky' is an ephemeral site specific installation that took place in the Le Fanu skate park in Ballyfermot. Using handwritten text, the audience is taken on an interior journey which slows down the typical movement of bodies through the space.
'Had to be There' recontextualizes 32 metres of net curtain from Overground/Undersky, offering a different experience of the domestic, private membrane. Considering the duality of a degree show marking an ending, it hangs in the first year studios, leaving NCAD where the journey began.
