How Everything Happens

What is the invisible string that ties humans to the sea? The past year has seen the loss of communication and contact between people. The project seeks to illuminate the connection between humanity and the sea, how the ebb and flow of the water draws humans in and how, now more than ever humans seek comfort in the inevitability of the tides.

A publication explores this connection while a typeface has been created to evoke the metaphysical relationship we all have with the sea. All of life and its cyclical nature can been reflected in the immutability of the sea’s waves.

‘Drift’ explores how the idea and concept of the ocean could exist online; the sea is a meditative space for humans to sit with their humanity, fragility, and precondition. The soundscape piece transcends this space into the digital sphere.
